Can I continue to do paid work after retirement?

Paid work activities are also possible if you are already retired and receive benefits from the 1st and 2nd pillars. If you earn less than 1400 francs a month or 16,800 francs a year, you do not have to pay any contributions. On the other hand, AHV, IV and compensation for loss of income contributions are due on incomes that exceed the tax-free amount. However, these so-called solidarity contributions have no influence on the amount of your AHV pension. Unemployment insurance contributions do not have to be paid if you work during retirement.
