Step-by-step into retirement
You have the opportunity to enter retirement in phases between the ages of 58 and 70. Semi-retirement occurs in up to three steps, whereby you must reduce your work load and salary in each partial step by at least 20%. As the cantonal tax authorities sometimes impose different conditions on partial retirement, we recommend that you contact your competent tax authority in advance. Retirement benefits may be claimed either in whole or in part as capital for the individual stages of partial retirement.
