The Vita Collective Foundation is not a party to these proceedings; it is subject exclusively to the supervision of ATIOZ (BVG and foundation supervisory authority for Ticino, Eastern Switzerland and Zurich). The assets of insured persons at the Vita Collective Foundation and the other collective foundations operating under the Vita umbrella brand are secure at all times; the foundations are on a solid financial footing.
Vita Collective Foundation autonomous from January 1, 2028
The ongoing proceedings do not affect the plans or the timeline for the previously announced autonomy of the Vita Collective Foundation with effect from January 1, 2028 – with Zurich as a service partner. From that point on, the Foundation will also assume responsibility for death and disability risks itself.
Pension solutions under pillar 3a and 3b are not affected
The enforcement proceedings against Zurich Life Insurance Company Ltd relate exclusively to the group life insurance segment, in other words the insurance of occupational retirement provision risks under the BVG (Swiss Federal Act on Occupational Retirement, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans). The individual life insurance segment – which includes pillar 3a and pillar 3b pension solutions, as well as disability and term life insurance and pensions for individuals – is not affected.
