Following the Vita Joint Foundation's investment of around 46 million Swiss francs in a housing Project for retirees in Bazenheid (SG) in spring 2018, another project for affordable, age-appropriate apartments in Ilanz (GR) is now set to follow. Starting this summer, an eleven-storey multi-generation house with 61 apartments will be built over around 4500 square meters. The renovation of the adjacent old Dominican nunnery with a usable area of around 2600 square metres will create a further 16 apartments in addition to practices and office space. The local Spitex Foppa will probably cover a large part of the range of services in the future. Further local collaborations are on the agenda; for example, with the neighboring regional hospital. The investment volume of the overall project amounts to around CHF 43 million. The move-in date for the apartments is planned for early spring 2021.
«The Vita Joint Foundation invests with a long-term focus in real estate investments for 'living in old age'. This allows us to strengthen the awareness and perception of the Vita brand in the core business of pre- and aftercare and, in addition, make a social and economic contribution in close collaboration with the respective local community.» says Nicolas Schneider, CEO of SST Vita Dienstleistungs AG.
